COOPER & SALOONS 1993-95

We were very much involved in the 1994 Monte Carlo Rally when Paddy Hopkirk and Ron Crellin celebrated the 40th Anniversary of their spectactular win in the 1964 Rally. The car unfortunately broke down on the last night of the Rally, when a replacemrnt fan belt was too big and the battery eventually went flat. However, the sight of a Mini Cooper S going around the French Alps was something that hadn't been seen or heard for over 30 years. For us it was an amazing experience to have supplied all the interior trim except for the Rally seats. We had the car at our Factory later in the year to show off to anyone. The car is now in Japan and belongs to Sanwa Trading in Tokyo. They were the main sponsors.
During this period, MG Rover started to upgrade all their seats in all their models to make them safer and a lot more comfortable. The front seats were more modern and had proper reclining mechanisms, tilt levers and twin post headrests. There were several different types of cloth seat designs, most of which are no longer available. We are able to offer three different styles of seat covers, namely, leather faced, all vinyl and for the Mini Coopers of this peroid the original Black style with the Black Lightning cloth centres.
To go with these seat designs we can offer our Monte Carlo trim kits and the original trim panels for the Coopers in black, as well as headlinings, carpet sets etc. If you want to choose a different colour combination to those shown, please contact us with you thoughts. We will do our best to help.
