When British Leyland introduced the Mini Clubmans it became very popular not only because of the different “front end” but because it had a better interior than the rather bland interior of the normal Mini of that period. Although the seat frames were the same as the Mini, a totally different design was used with on the seat covers. A simulated stitch design was created by using special tooling on High Frequency welding machines which was and is still is used today.
The trim panel design was also altered to be distinctive to the Mini Clubman range. From the beginning of production the instrument cluster was positiond in front of the steering wheel, this design was eventually in the late 1970’s taken over to standard Mini as well.
Carpet sets generally followed the colour of the interior and our new moulded carpet sets with additional sound proofing moulded in place will really transform your interior.
