GOING FOR GOLD........

This week, we have been acknowledged for our environmental efforts with the award of the highest level of the Suffolk Carbon Charter.
The Charter provides businesses with recognition for the work we are doing to reduce our energy consumption. This enables businesses with genuine green credentials to share their achievements with their customers, staff and suppliers.
Following an independent audit, Newton Commercial were awarded the Gold Charter, which shows that not only are we recognising our environmental responsibility by monitoring and reducing our energy use, but we are also spreading the word.
The Gold Charter was awarded to Newton Commercial in recognition of our achievement in reducing our energy use whilst growing their business, as well as the range of activities we are engaged in. We were particularly commended for the way the green ethos was reflected across our organisation. Speaking on behalf of the Groundwork auditors, Anna Martin said “I have rarely met such an enthusiastic and engaged workforce...(and) They have moved to source all of their materials within the UK in the last year which is a huge move".
The Charter is recognition of the role we are playing in the goal of Creating the Greenest County for Suffolk.
