Suffolk Carbon Charter
Following an independent audit, Newton Commercial was awarded the Gold Suffolk Carbon Charter in recognition for our ongoing efforts to manage and reduce energy consumption. With the installation of solar panels and LED lightning, our company focus is a green one.
Investors in People
Newton Commercial has received the Investors in People award no less than four times, of which we are particularly proud. Our Managing Director, Jonny Newton, is adamant that such awards recognise a genuine drive for continuous improvement throughout the business, both in management skills and staff training and development, rather than simply being “something for the company CV”.
Institute for Manufacturing
Working closely with the Institute for Manufacturing (which is essentially the public face of the Department of Engineering at Cambridge University) provides us with valuable research and insight to the latest manufacturing and management methodologies. We also provide the opportunity for University postgraduates study and work on real time manufacturing, supply chain and market research projects.
British Motor Heritage Approved
The largest organisation of its type in the world, British Motor Heritage Ltd is a privately owned company founded to support the classic car industry by ensuring a supply of genuine components for classic British cars, made using the original tooling, wherever possible. We are proud to be the only British Motor Heritage approved trimmer in the world. They are supported by a network of accredited British Motor Heritage specialists, who have to meet strict criteria regarding product quality, customer service, financial stability, and more. .
Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs
We are also a proud member of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, which exists to ‘uphold the freedom’ of historic vehicles owners to use and enjoy their vehicles on the road by representing their interests to politicians, government officials, and legislators both in the UK and (through the Federation Internationale des Vehicules Anciens) in Europe..
Best Employers Eastern Region
In October 2021, Newton Commercial were awarded a Best Employers 2021 Silver Accreditation for the Eastern region cementing our position as one of the best employers in the local region among some great companies. Awarded based on employee feedback across the company through a broad questionnaire and through a judging panel, we are pleased to have placed in our first ever entry and look forward to learning more and developing this accreditation in the future.
